Being a Casey W. Childers Photography Senior Spokesmodel Team member isn’t about fitting a mold because I can promise you, I don’t have one! In fact, I often find myself being one to not ‘fit in the mold’ at all! It’s about celebrating who you already are during one of the most exciting years of your life. Your senior year deserves to be documented in a way that feels authentic, fun, and completely you. Whether you have spent years dreaming of being in a tutu, find yourself being more of an edgy/moody personality, been on the baseball team or lived in the theatre, the CWCP Senior Spokesmodel Team is for you. My hope is to bring seniors of all walks of life together to be able to converse with one another, grow with each other and lift each other up. I have had seniors from James B. Hunt High School, Ralph L. Fike High School, WECA, Greenfield School, Community Christian School, Southern Nash High School and Charles B. Aycock High School.
So first, let’s clear something up:
The spokesmodel team is open to all genders, races, styles, personalities, and backgrounds. There is no “look” you have to have. If you’re a senior who wants an unforgettable experience and incredible images, you belong here. What I DO go through are the applications. I want to work with seniors who WANT to work with me. If the application says, “I’m filling this out because my mom wants me to…” this probably isn’t the best fit for you.
The Casey W. Childers Spokesmodel Team is a group of high school seniors who represent my business during their senior year while receiving multiple photo sessions, exclusive perks, and a built-in hype squad along the way. Despite the name, you don’t need modeling experience. Being a spokesmodel simply means I take your picture (and make you feel confident doing it!).
Because I have a full time vocation in music ministry and have two little ones, I don’t have all of the time I would love to commit to areas of my business. My seniors help me TREMENDOUSLY in this area by posting on behalf of my business! Because I have niched down into senior portrait photography nearly exclusively, I know this is the area I want to continue to grow in!
This is about connection, community, and capturing every season of senior year.
One of the biggest perks of being on the spokesmodel team is the variety of sessions you get throughout the year. Your story isn’t one-dimensional, and your photos shouldn’t be either. What I really love is watching the growth and confidence change from session to session. Usually by the end of a one hour session with a senior, I feel like we are JUST getting to know one another. Trust is such a big factor when it comes to photography.
Signature Senior Session
This is the big one – TWO HOUR session! The session everyone thinks of when they imagine senior photos. We plan locations, outfits, and details that reflect you. Whether that’s downtown vibes, wide-open fields, sports, hobbies, or something totally unique, this session is all about personality with multiple outfits and often multiple locations. We have two hours to work with so there is often a lot of creativity that comes into play!
Seasonal Mini Sessions
Spokesmodels get access to exclusive mini sessions with the entire team throughout the year. Think fall colors, cozy winter vibes, spring blooms, or fun themed shoots. These sessions keep your gallery growing and give you fresh images all year long for social media, announcements, and keepsakes. From sunflowers to pumpkins & Christmas trees to Valentine’s and College Decision Sessions. We have a group photo and then everyone on the team gets a brief mini session!
Cap & Gown Session
Graduation deserves its own moment. Your cap and gown session celebrates everything you’ve accomplished and marks the transition into what’s next. It’s a meaningful way to close out your senior year with photos that feel proud, joyful, and timeless. Every senior on the team gets a 15 minute Cap & Gown session. This is the only session where I limit the final digital files to 5 images. This is to share that real life professional photographers often don’t share every single image as part of a collection.
What truly sets the spokesmodel team apart isn’t just the number of sessions, it’s the experience. Team members often tell me they gained confidence they didn’t expect. Standing in front of the camera becomes easier. Being yourself becomes more natural. You start seeing yourself the way others already do.
You’re also part of a supportive, inclusive community where everyone is encouraged to show up as they are. No competition. No pressure to look a certain way. Just seniors cheering each other on during a milestone year.
The answer is simple: any senior who wants to be part of something special.
There are no requirements tied to gender, race, body type, personality, or social media following. You don’t have to be an athlete, influencer, or extrovert. I DO want to have seniors who genuinely want to work with me their senior year and have a desire to support others. You just have to be you and excited to document your senior year in a meaningful way.
This is probably the most difficult part of the entire process. While many may think that photography is my full time job, it actually isn’t! My full time vocation is serving as Minister of Music & Organist at First Christian Church in Wilson. I have served there since 2007 and it’s a JOY! Both my undergraduate and graduate degrees were in music. That being said, with a full time vocation and ensuring that I adequately serve the team (and make sure they all receive their signature sessions), I have learned that my balance is best fitted with 10-12 seniors on the team. I WISH that I could do this full time with a team of 25-30!
With this in mind, I have to make very difficult sessions. This is NOT a reflection on the senior in any way at all. When I review applications, I make it a point to have nothing but the application answers in front of me. So if you are truly serious about being a part of this team, really convey this in the application! 🙂
Spokesmodel team members walk away with:
A full year of professional photos
A once-in-a-lifetime senior experience
New friendships and memories
Confidence that lasts beyond graduation
Images that truly tell their story
Your senior year happens once. It deserves to be celebrated loudly, beautifully, and authentically.
